Position Description:
The Computer Security Technician Analyst will serve as a member of the Security team providing both at the hands-on level and policy level. Responsibilities will include:
*US Army-approved Network Operating Systems such as Microsoft Server Active Directory.
*US Army-approved Client Operating Systems such as Microsoft XP, Vista and non- Microsoft Client Operating Systems and their use in a Microsoft Active Directory Architecture
*DISA Gold Disk Scanner
*eEye Retina and eEye Remote Enterprise Manager (REM) and/or Harris STAT Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) scanners (aka tools utilized to meet DoD Enterprise Solutions Steering Group (ESSG) Security Configuration Compliance Validation Initiative(SCCVI))
*US Army-approved patching utilities such as Microsoft System Management Server (SMS)/Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)/Microsoft Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), and McAfee Hercules or any other patching tools that will be used to implement DoD ESSG Security Remediation Compliance Initiative (SCRI))
*US Army-approved network and boundary defense mechanisms such as routers, switches, firewalls and intrusion detection/intrusion prevention systems such as those made by Cisco, Juniper, or other network and boundary defense equipment and software vendors US Army-approved Virtual Private Network (VPN) hardware- and software-based systems US Army-approved Proxy Server such as Bluecoat Proxy US Army-approved Data at Rest such as Microsoft BitLocker, Microsoft EFS, or Mobile Armor.
*US Army-approved mobile devices (laptops, personal digital assistants (PDAs), and Blackberry-like devices and servers.
*DIACAP Expertise recognized through ISC2 Certification and Accreditation Professional (CAP).
*Security Testing and Evaluation.
*DIACAP familiarization.
*Army Common Access Card (CAC)/Public Key Infrastructure and alternate smart-card requirements.
*Wireless tools, technology, and Wireless Intrusion Detection requirements.
*McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator and Host-Based Security System (HBSS) Video Teleconference (VTC) Equipment DIACAP requirements.
*US Army-approved email solutions such as Microsoft Exchange.
*Any other US-Army approved tools or technology that would be found on most installation campus area networks (the expectation is that team members will become proficient on emerging technologies as the technology is fielded at each post, camp, or installation.) CONT'D>
Skill Requirements
· *Bachelor's Degree or higher degree in computer information systems, computer science, computer engineering, or a closely-related discipline *Bachelors Degree with 9 Years experience;
· 7 Years with Masters or 4 Years with PhD
· *Security Testing and Evaluation (ST&E) Experience *DIACAP Experience *COMP/TIA Security+ Certification (or US Army BBP equivalent or higher)
· *COMP/TIA Network+ Certification or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Certification (or US Army BBP equivalent or higher)
· *Certification at the appropriate level designated by DoD Directive 8570.01 and US Army Best Business Practice (BBP) 05-PR-M-0002.
· All candidates must be certified to US Army BBP Information Assurance Technical (IAT)-level II
· *Ability to travel more than 75% of the
· ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
· *Current Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) on Windows 2003 server, Windows XP/Vista, MCSE preferred
· *ISC2 Certification and Accreditation Professional (CAP) or CISSP with 5 years C&A experience, CAP preferred. *Current Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP) or CCNA with completion of the Cisco Securing Networks with ASA Foundation course.
· *Current Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Profession Professional (CCNP) preferred.
· Preferred Skills
· Completion of the requirements for the Security+ certification; CISSP certification preferred
