She loves to make her shelter friends laugh with her comical antics.   Miley already knows how to "sit" on command and is waiting for someone to help her polish up on her obedience training. She would love to have a family to take her on long walks and spend lots of fun, quality time with her.   She is a wonderful dog who gets along well with people and other dogs,  but please, no cats.The Portsmouth Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) animal shelter that also serves as the contracted animal shelter in and for the city of Portsmouth, Virginia. is an 'open admission' shelter, we accept every animal that is found wandering, stray, seized, or involved in a criminal case by Portsmouth Animal Control Officers. We also accept 'owner-surrenders' from residents of Portsmouth, who can no longer keep their pets. Please bear in mind that in many cases we have very limited information as to the behavior or temperment of the animals in our shelter.
