Labrador Retriever - Large - Adult - Male - Dog - Casey # 12055

Meet our polite gentleman, Casey, a wonderful older lab mix. He sports a fine black coat with white markings on his muzzle, chest, and toes. Casey is very sweet and calm with a regal demeanor. He loves children and people of all ages; knows sit and down commands; and, walks at a perfect heel on the leash. Just like you, he likes to pick his own friends and can sometimes be a bit choosy. He usually likes non-dominant female dogs and smaller male dogs best. If you already have a doggie let us know and we’ll arrange a meeting to see if they’ll be fast friends. Casey is an easy-going boy and he does get along with just about everyone with only a few exceptions. Casey would be a very easy first dog, especially for a family with young children or an older adult who would appreciate his calm happiness. He doesn’t jump up at all and very rarely pulls at the leash. He’s good even with toddlers and cats. He is very gentle and loving – he’ll sit at your feet for hours with a ball in his mouth. He loves treats, balls, fuzzy squeaky toys and leaning against his person for snuggles. Casey is just happy to have someone to love. Casey keeps his kennel very neat and his shelter friends suspect he’s housebroken. He’s had a hard life and wants a soft bed and a loving family. Casey wasn’t taken care of well by his previous owners. He has a few medical problems that are being taken care of thanks to his fan club of over 100 volunteers who raised money for him. Casey’s a crowd favorite! We expect Casey to make a full recovery from these temporary medical ailments. Casey is an older dog that still has plenty of good years and lots of love to give. He is currently in a foster home but is eager to find a home of his own – do you have room for Casey? You’ll never regret adopting Casey – it may just be the best decision you'll ever make!
